Some Words...

We wanted to say off the bat, this has been our biggest archival project to date (as of February 26, 2026). We've always dabbled in mini archivals here and there, but our first major archival project was the Rebornica FNAF archive. That project took us over 3 months of nearly nonstop work, and over hundreds of images saved and documented. It only consisted of the Tumblr blog to showcase each of the original posts live, as well as the downloadable archive hosted on archive.org. With the Blueycapsules archive we wanted to take it a step further. We actually had plans to do the BC archive long before the Rebornica one, but I feel we had to do that one first to get a feel of what its like to do large scale archival projects.

To say this one was more of an undertaking than the Rebornica project would be an understatement. Not only was there going to be the downloadable archive, but the live one as well on its very own website. We're not new to coding, its something we've done as a hobby for over 4 years now, so we had a general idea of how we wanted to go about this. However, a big challenge for us was making this website mostly accessible to both PC AND mobile users. We usually don't develop for mobile at all on our own personal sites, so this was certainly new to us. The end result isn't perfect, and I think certain areas look better than others but I believe its still mostly accessible in the end. There was also way more images and things to save/document compared to the Rebornica archive. The properties for the actual folder containing the entire archive is over 4,000+... so, yeah, definetely more than Rebornica XD.

If we're going based off when major production started, the Blueycapsules archive lasted around 3 months as well. A big change with this project compared to Rebornica, though, was how many long breaks I had to take between each update. Working nonstop for 3 months straight like I did with the first project is NOT HEALTHY! So, I was not about to repeat that same mistake. It probably would of been completed faster had I done that, but I wasn't going to risk that again. Even with the breaks, I won't lie, towards the end of this project I was beginning to get burnt out. I had a lot more planned for the Blueycapsules archive, specifically for the website portion, but ultimately scrapped it in the end. Whatever didn't make it to the website is still included in the downloadable archive, though. I had wanted to showcase more of the extra content and even make my own mini wiki with info on the characters and what not similar to the actual wiki, but that too got scrapped.

We're pretty satisified with what we do have though. At the end of the day, the main purpose of this website is to host the comic. We wanted a place for ourselves to be able to easily read the comic without going onto Twitter (which, with all its new updates has made the comic nearly unreadable/unaccessable). I was lucky to have caught the comic before Twitter's update broke it and thus was able to read it easily. I even saved it all to have in my own personal collection. We figured other people might want a place to easily read it as well, whether thats existing fans wanting to relive the story again or new people who want to check it out. So, we decided to make our archive live.

So... why archive Blueycapsules? Well, many reasons. Upon our first read it really stuck with us, a lot. Not only for its humor, but the amount of talent that went into each page, into the writing and story. Each character was crafted with such care, and even the side characters had a lot of love and effort put into them. We had never really seen a comic before where each artist noticeably collaborated onto each page, each drawing. Showcasing their unique talents without trying to blend into one artstyle. We really latched onto characters like Michael, who reflected a lot of our own personal struggles in life, and Jeremy who reminded us a lot of people we grew up with. Blueycapsules really impacted our own approach to art as well as writing, we were very inspired by the comic.

Lost media is a huge problem, and its something we've witnessed happen a lot throughout our life. Things that were once easily accessible, that were everywhere and were spoken about by many, suddenly vanishing one day. I've even seen stuff that had once been heavily documented suddenly have every little bit of it scrubbed from the web. Things we loved, things we cherished, gone forever with no way to recover them. Blueycapsules may be here today, but who knows what will happen in 10 years. Sure it may be archived by some people but whose to say those people won't wipe their own archives? That the places they're hosted on won't be wiped as well? I can't control what other people do and what happens to the places they're hosted on, but I can hold onto my own archive and make sure it doesn't become lost. That's why I got into archiving in the first place, because every single thing thats put out there means something to someone. And I know this comic meant a lot and may still mean a lot to some people out there. I know it means a lot to us, especially our Blueycapsules fictives.

You cannot have light without darkness, and a lot of Blueycapsules is remembered with said darkness. Its something I have chosen not to include in this archive, and I do not wish to speak too in depth on the topic. Because its not the point of this archive. Its why I chose not to include such things in my Rebornica FNAF archive as well. There is something to be said about matters that happened outside of the comic and I think discussions should be had. I am not here to say what has already been said, I am here to showcase the side that has been largely forgotten, the light. As I said above, there was a lot of love and passion put into the world that was created here. And I want my archive to put a spotlight on that, to remind people of that light.

This archive isn't perfect, there's still some extra media out there that is missing. Some parts of the site/downloadable archive could of been done differently or more efficiently. But, I'm satisified with what I've made and I'm very proud of what this project evolved into. I won't say its complete, neither is my Rebornica one for that matter. I don't think they'll ever be complete with the amount of content still missing out there. So, we'll still continue updating it here and there whenever something gets found but I'd say, at least for the main portion, the top of the mountain has already been reached.

I could ramble on and on some more but I think we've gotten what we wanted to say mostly out. At the end of the day, this archive was mainly made for our own enjoyment of a comic that really stuck with us over the years and one that shaped us. We hope whoever does decide to check out this archive, we hope you can get some enjoyment out of it too.
